The patterns tested most often, not a complete list. The JLPT publishes no official grammar list, and fuller references carry roughly three times as many.

〜させてくださいplease let me ...少し休ませてください。Please let me rest a little.
〜てほしいwant someone to ...もう少し待ってほしい。I want you to wait a bit longer.
〜ようとするtry to / be about to出かけようとしたとき、電話が鳴った。Just as I was about to leave, the phone rang.
〜ことにしているmake a habit of毎朝走ることにしている。I make a point of running every morning.
〜ものだit is the way things are子供は遊ぶものだ。Children are meant to play.
〜わけだthat is why / no wonder道理で寒いわけだ。No wonder it's cold.
〜わけではないit doesn't mean that嫌いなわけではない。It's not that I dislike it.
〜はずがないcannot possibly彼が嘘をつくはずがない。He can't possibly be lying.
〜に違いないmust be / surely彼女は知っているに違いない。She must know.
〜おかげでthanks to先生のおかげで合格した。Thanks to my teacher I passed.
〜せいでbecause of (blame)雨のせいで遅れた。I was late because of the rain.
〜によってby / depending on人によって考え方が違う。Ways of thinking differ from person to person.
〜に対してtowards / in contrast to客に対して失礼だ。That is rude towards the customer.
〜に関してregardingその件に関して説明します。I'll explain regarding that matter.
〜としてas (a role)留学生として来ました。I came as an exchange student.
〜とおりjust as言ったとおりにしてください。Please do just as I said.
〜たびにevery time会うたびに背が伸びている。Every time I see him he's taller.
〜ままleaving as is電気をつけたまま寝た。I slept with the light on.
〜きりonly / since then彼とは去年会ったきりだ。I haven't seen him since last year.
〜ば〜ほどthe more ... the more練習すればするほど上手になる。The more you practise the better you get.
〜くらい / 〜ほどto the extent that歩けないくらい疲れた。I was so tired I could hardly walk.
〜ばかりでなくnot only ... but also英語ばかりでなく中国語も話せる。He speaks not only English but Chinese.
〜だけでなくnot only値段だけでなく質も大事だ。Not only price but quality matters.
〜に比べてcompared with去年に比べて暑い。It's hot compared with last year.
〜のに対してwhereas兄は静かなのに対して弟は元気だ。The elder brother is quiet whereas the younger is lively.
〜一方でon the other hand便利な一方で危険もある。It's convenient, but on the other hand risky.
〜うちにbefore it changes熱いうちに食べてください。Please eat it while it's hot.
〜間にwhile寝ている間に地震があった。There was an earthquake while I slept.
〜てからでないとnot without first doing相談してからでないと決められない。I can't decide without consulting first.
〜ないうちにbefore it becomes暗くならないうちに帰ろう。Let's go home before it gets dark.
〜とすればsupposing that行くとすれば明日だ。If I go, it will be tomorrow.
〜ても構わないdon't mind if窓を開けても構いません。I don't mind if you open the window.
〜ないとhave to (informal)早く行かないと。I've got to go quickly.
〜ずにはいられないcan't help doing笑わずにはいられなかった。I couldn't help laughing.
〜ようがないthere's no way to連絡しようがない。There's no way to contact them.
〜っぽい-ish / tends to彼は忘れっぽい。He is forgetful.
〜がちtends to (negative)冬は風邪をひきがちだ。One tends to catch colds in winter.
〜気味a touch of風邪気味です。I feel a bit like I'm catching a cold.
〜だらけfull of (mess)部屋はほこりだらけだ。The room is full of dust.
〜向けaimed at子供向けの本。A book aimed at children.
〜通り / 〜どおりexactly as予定どおり出発した。We left exactly as planned.
〜次第as soon as着き次第、電話します。I'll call as soon as I arrive.
〜最中にin the middle of会議の最中に停電した。The power went out in the middle of the meeting.
〜においてin / at (formal)会場において行われる。It will be held at the venue.
〜にとってfor / to (viewpoint)私にとって大切な人だ。She is important to me.
〜ということだI hear / it means会議は中止ということだ。I hear the meeting is cancelled.
〜みたいにlike子供みたいに笑った。He laughed like a child.
〜そうもないhardly likely to雨は止みそうもない。The rain shows no sign of stopping.
〜代わりにinstead of父の代わりに行った。I went instead of my father.
〜以来ever since卒業以来会っていない。I haven't seen him since graduation.
〜たとたんthe moment that立ったとたん、めまいがした。The moment I stood up I felt dizzy.
〜かけhalf-done読みかけの本。A half-read book.
〜ぬくdo thoroughly to the end最後まで走りぬいた。I ran all the way to the end.
〜こそprecisely / it is ... that今年こそ合格したい。This year for sure I want to pass.
〜さえeven名前さえ書けなかった。I couldn't even write my name.
〜さえ〜ばif only時間さえあればできる。If only I had time I could do it.
〜わけにはいかないcannot (for reasons)休むわけにはいかない。I can't afford to take a rest.
〜もののalthough買ったものの、使っていない。I bought it, though I don't use it.
